Woman struck while pushing vehicle off road near Ann Road

A stretch of road in northern Las Vegas was shut down after a woman was hit by a car and killed, according to police. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated in an initial report that the woman had been driving west on Ann Road when her car broke down near the intersection with Jones Boulevard. She, along with several bystanders, were attempting to push the vehicle off the road when it was struck by another driver. The woman was declared dead at the scene. At the time of the incident, her identity had not been released to the public. Police confirmed that all individuals involved in the collision remained at the scene.

As part of their investigation, authorities closed off Ann Road from Calvert Street to Bradley Road. It is unclear at this time if any charges will be filed against the driver who hit the woman’s car. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has not released any further information about the incident, and it is unknown if the woman’s car breaking down was a contributing factor in the collision. This tragic event serves as a reminder for drivers to always exercise caution and be aware of their surroundings while on the road.
