The Northeast Valley Was The Scene Of A Crash That Left a Teen Critically Injured
East Lake Mead Blvd and Marion Drive was the scene of a crash that one critically Monday evening. The accident happened at around 6:15 p.m. and involved a teen pedestrian and a vehicle.
According to LVMPD, evidence at the scene, video surveillance and a witness statement a 14 year-old was crossing at East Lake Mead near the intersection of Marion Drive when they came in the path of a 2011 GMC Terrain that was traveling westbound. The pedestrian was struck on their left side and thrown west onto the roadway.
The driver of the GMC immediately stopped at the intersection.
The teen pedestrian was transported to University Medical Center Trauma. where he remains in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene and impairment was not suspected in this case. There is an ongoing investigation into this case.
