Reckless Driving Leaves One Dead After Crash At Gomer And Cimarron Roads
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police were called to the scene of an accident at 8:00 p.m at the intersection of West Gomer Road and South Cimarron Road.
According to police reckless driving was the cause of the fatal crash. A 2015 Nissan Altima and a 2024 Ram 2500 were involved in the crash.
The Nissan was driving eastbound on Gomor Road ran through the stop sign at a high speed, colliding with the Ram truck that was entering the same intersection but had previously stopped.
The driver of the Nissan, a 40-year-old woman from Las Vegas sustained life-threatening injuries ad was pronounced dead at UMC Trauma Center.
The driver of the Ram truck, 32-year-old Micheal Ranget only suffered minor injuries from the accident but was transported to UMC for treatment. Impairment was not considered a Factor for the driver of the Truck.
This is the 68th traffic related death so far this year in Las Vegas.
