One Pedestrian Dead, Police Searching For Hit-And-Run Driver
Police reported a hit-and-run accident at Las Vegas Boulevard at Frias in the early morning.
According to police a man in his 40’s was hit while crossing the street outside the marked crosswalk. First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene and took off. Police are searching for the driver and have closed the area off to all traffic while investigating the scene.
The cause of the crash is unknown and it is also unknown if impairment had a role in the incident. Police are investigating the crash.
Never walk outside the marked crosswalk and always follow traffic signals. You can’t always avoid an accident but following the local traffic laws can minimize the opportunity for an accident to happen.
