Multi-Car Crash Invovling An Impaired Driver In East Las Vegas Leaves Several Injured
Metropolitan Police are investigating a crash that involved multiple vehicles and caused several injuries in East Las Vegas early Monday morning. The three car crash was reported just before 1:30 a.m. near East Sahara Avenue and South McLeod Street.
According to authorities a 2014 Infiniti Q60S was heading east on Sahara when it failed to slow down as it entered the intersection where it collided with a 2024 Nissan Sentra and a 2021 Mazda CX-5 that were both stopped at the intersection light.
The driver of the Infiniti, a 24-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the ICU at Sunrise Hospital. The driver also showed signs of impairment according to police.
The driver and passenger of the Nissan Sentra sustained serious injuries and were also transported to Sunrise Hospital for treatment.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Departments Collision Investigation Section.
