Man struck and killed in the roadway along St Rose Pkwy
A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a semi-truck on Interstate 15. The crash had occurred around 3 p.m. on I-15 at St. Rose Parkway, according to Nevada State Police. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital and ultimately succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities stated that the driver of the semi-truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. As of 4:35 p.m., Nevada State Police had not yet released the identity of the pedestrian or the cause of the crash. The incident resulted in a two-hour delay, but as of 6:15 p.m., all lanes had reopened, according to Nevada State Police.
The crash caused a major disruption on Interstate 15, and the victim’s identity and the cause of the accident are still unknown. Nevada State Police have not released any further information at this time. The driver of the semi-truck is said to have stayed on the scene and is working with authorities to determine the cause of the crash. The incident caused significant delays for commuters, but as of 6:15 p.m., the road was fully operational again. Nevada State Police continue to investigate the accident and will release more information as it becomes available.
