Deadly Pedestrian Crash In Pahrump Near Quarter Horse Avenue

Police responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on Monday February 16th. The accident happened near southbound Quarter Horse Avenue just south of McGraw Road in Pahrump.

Nevada Highway Patrol reported that the pedestrian was walking in the street of the southbound lane of Quarter Horse Avenue when they were struck by a Jeep.

First responders reported that the pedestrian died as a result of their injuries. The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and did not receive medical attention.

The cause of the crash is unknown and the identity of the pedestrian has not been released at this time, pending notification of the next of kin.

You should always walk within the marked or implied crosswalks when walking near a heavily trafficked area. As a pedestrian you are required to follow all traffic laws and signals to prevent being hit by a vehicle.
