Pedestrian Accident at Boulder Highway Leaves Teen Critically Injured
A 14-year-old boy suffered critical injuries on Wednesday afternoon, September 3, 2026, after being struck by a pickup truck in a marked crosswalk on Boulder Highway north of South Broadbent Boulevard. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported the collision occurred at approximately 4:07 p.m.
According to police reports, evidence at the scene, witness statements, and surveillance video indicated the boy was crossing Boulder Highway from east to west when a northbound 2022 Ram 1500 traveling in the leftmost of three lanes struck him. The truck’s right front struck the pedestrian’s left side, and the impact threw the boy onto the roadway. The driver brought the truck to a controlled stop.
Emergency medical services transported the boy to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center’s trauma center, where medical personnel determined his injuries were critical, police said.
The driver, Jodi Puckett, 57, of Las Vegas, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to police. She showed no signs of impairment and was not injured in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s collision investigation section. Anyone with information about the crash may contact LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section at 702-828-3535.
